Extending the Boundaries with SharePoint 2013

June 2013

The recent launch of SharePoint 2013 has once again demonstrated the determination of Microsoft to achieve dominance in the enterprise content management arena by extending the features and capabilities provided by their flagship collaboration platform.

While these comprehensive enhancements include new features that extend the overall platform capabilities, most of the changes provide refinements to existing features, which will streamline the user experience and facilitate genuine productivity improvements. These include:

  • Drag-and-drop functionality for SharePoint document libraries, which simplifies the document upload process.
  • An enhanced search interface includes quick document previews, an improved search refinements panel and extra features like 'view library' and 'send'.
  • New and improved web content management features simplify and enhance site design, authoring and publishing processes.

Clarity's customers have already started taking advantage of the latest enhancements to the SharePoint platform and we are currently working on a variety of both platform upgrades and new intranet and extranet solutions.
