Clarity Launches New Fire Service Website

March 2018

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Badge

Clarity has recently launched a new fully responsive website for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service (http://www.staffordshirefire.gov.uk).

With responsibility for fire protection, prevention, intervention and emergency rescue across the county, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service must maintain a website that provides readily accessible fire safety information to the widest possible user base.

Clarity developed a complete new creative web design for Staffordshire and implemented the site using the Umbraco Open Source CMS platform; providing a cost-effective and scalable solution that improves the online user experience while supporting public sector budgetary constraints.

The new site is fluid and responsive and it fully supports an intuitive mobile user experience. It adheres to web accessibility standards and is structured around key tasks, providing simple user journeys to pertinent site content with minimal clicks. Clarity has worked with 17 UK fire and rescue services and we have developed a deep understanding of their digital requirements. Consequently, the new Staffordshire site includes all the features one would expect to see in a modern fire service website (e.g. dynamic incident reporting, find a fire station, etc.).

“Clarity Information Solutions have provided us with a fresh new website that adapts well with the broad range of desktop and mobile devices that our audience are using. The website now reflects our current brand identity and helps us to effectively deliver key information to our communities, partners and stakeholders.”
