Secure PCI Compliant Telephone Payments

Clarity is now able to offer secure PCI compliant telephone payment capabilities as an enhancement to our course management and online booking solutions.

While most clients choose to book and pay for courses online, approximately 20-30% of payments are still made by telephone through call centres and secure telephony systems for handling card payments improve security and PCI compliance for these transactions.

Clarity IVR is a level 1 PCI-DSS v3.2.1 compliant telephone payment platform, which offers distinct advantages when compared to other secure telephony products.  In particular:

  • We offer a fully hosted solution and no software installation is required on customer networks.
  • We provide an agent assisted client experience, which means that the call centre operator can stay on the line and provide guidance when the client is transferred to the automated payment system. DTMF tones are suppressed when card details are entered and this approach is fully compliant with PCI DSS requirements.  Given that clients who opt to make telephone payments tend to be uncomfortable when using technology, this agent-assisted approach can be highly beneficial in ensuring these clients are able to complete their bookings and payments.
  • Clarity IVR provides a range of advanced payment management options, including tokenisation (only take card details once) and recurring payments, which may be introduced where needed to support specific business functions.
