Content Management
Our content management solutions are based on the award-winning RedDot CMS platform, which has been deployed to more than 1,700 customers worldwide. Our solutions are used to manage large-scale intranets and websites and maintain dynamic web-based material. They include the following key features:
Non-Technical Content Management
Highly intuitive content editing tools are designed to facilitate dynamic maintenance of websites and intranets by non-technical staff, thereby promoting distributed "local" ownership of content and eliminating the traditional ICT content publishing bottleneck. The content editing environment includes full WYSIWYG rendition of web pages for use by staff when adding or updating all forms of content (incl. body text, title text and images).
Site Design Management
CMS makes it easy to maintain a consistent, corporate look and feel for websites and intranets by separating design management tasks from content management tasks. Site design tools are used by suitably authorised designers to create and manage the site structure, standard site page template designs, stylesheets and other design features. Authorised content contributors are then provided with a highly controlled, consistent and intuitive content editing environment.
Automated Content Publishing
Highly configurable workflow can be used to ensure content is reviewed and approved by authorised personnel prior to initiation of automated publishing to the target site/s (web and/or intranet). Time-based publishing controls are also provided to enable scheduling of automated uploads at specified times. This approach removes the dependence on staff availability at specified times and eliminates constraints on staff work patterns, particularly during busy periods.
Dynamic Document Management Integration
Dynamic integration with document and records management systems can provide a seamless approach to management of source content within a structured environment. This feature also allows dynamic links to be maintained directly from website and intranet pages to the current approved versions of documents that are held within the DM/RM repository.
Web-Based Thin Client Interface
Software installation and maintenance tasks are minimised since client software is not required on user PCS. Users can also work remotely using web-based or VPN communications.
Concurrent User Licensing
The CMS concurrent licensing model is highly cost effective since a small number of licences can be shared among a large user community.
